Mitosis

Why do cells need to divide :

1. to reproduce

2.to grow

3.to repair

The 4 Steps of Mitosis :

1. Prophase :

-DNA condenses

-Nuclear membrane starts to dissolve

2. Metaphase

-chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell

3. Anaphase :

-The centrometre splits & each chromatid seprates

-spindle fibres pull the daughter shromosomes to each pole

4.Telephase

-Daughter chromosomes lengthen & become thinner .

-Nuclear membrane
